I am researching the G.'D.' and theosophy, and the level of conjecture and myth that surrounds some of the main players, as it were, is frustrating, to put it mildly.

I look forward to hearing about future releases.R (formerly of OI)http://watermemory.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804748110841330925.post-41432868308717900942010-11-24T02:46:29.600+00:002010-11-24T02:46:29.600+00:00I have very much enjoyed following your thoughts D...I have very much enjoyed following your thoughts Dean. You should set up a followers link so more people could be exposed to your views.

Considering your penchant for Gnostic truth you may wish to find a book called " The Other Bible ". It offers excerpts from Gnostic writings dated from 300 BCE to 300 AD. There are over 700 pages dedicated to Gnostic truth. Many of the Gospels which never made it into the New Testament are also included. The work of Mathew was very good. I find the gnostic views to be reflective of a need to see beyond the failings of Christian tenets. However after significant study on the subject I feel illusions still prevail if the writings are misunderstood.

I have studied all world religions, philosophy both modern and ancient. As well I rounded out my spiritual journey with hallucinogenic shamanic rituals. Finally I dovetailed advanced science to allow for a left brain balance. Regarding book based religions; the basic premise which is woven into the fabric of faith is that God created the universe. I find this to conflict greatly with my personal view which mantains God became the universe.

This fundamental shift in thinking allows one to comprehend that all manifest reality is God. You are God, as am I, the chair you sit in and the words you read and write is God. There is nothing in all manifest reality which is not God.

From this one understanding we may release all fear, judgment and need. We understand that we are already complete. Most are fooled by religion, government, media and corporations into believing in the physical. This apparent attachment to the illusion of body is confirmed by our five senses. Along with this primary illusion other aspects of reality like, birth, death, good/bad, right/wrong, physicality, separation, time and space are propagated.

Truth can only be found by looking within. When we begin to perceive that we are not body then we can start, in earnest, the paths beyond illusion.

You will never die as you were never born. You are eternal Godself consciousness. Like the Gnostic's believe, there is no God to affect judgment, this is a feeble trick of the ego sense of self.

You mention Plato, Socrates in my opinion had a much greater reference to spiritual truth. Our world is expanding Dean, advances in physics, biology and countless other scientific roads are leading to the truth of which I speak. Any PHD worth his/her salt will confirm from a left brain perspective that matter is illusion. Furthermore, peak intelligence in the scientific world states this reality we call life is really a matrix, consciousness is all that truly exists. Like a puzzle, the convergence of truth should always fit. Christians are programmed fools, at least the Gnostics dumped the carrot and stick.

I like to use the Gnostic philosophy as a good analogy for a representation of ego. I believe Carlos Castaneda wrote the definitive work on ego. You should read his description of ego as " fliers " you would love it.

If we consider the realm of Sophia to represent ego then the Gnostic tenets make much more sense. If we take from Gnostic writing literal interpretations we will fall well short of the spiritual mark of freedom.

I look forward to sharing views my brother you are very intelligent. I invite you as a follower in my world. I never really like the word follower I think they should use sharer. Til' we meet again, peace, love and freedom from tyranny.

In Lak' esh, my brother, love is all there is...christopherdossantos3@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16333197295906640548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804748110841330925.post-54546349807440595922010-03-25T01:04:39.195+00:002010-03-25T01:04:39.195+00:00It's the thing that always makes sense of a cr...It's the thing that always makes sense of a crazy world - ie put love first ;o)))Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00533674873505280850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804748110841330925.post-69865108648009397012010-01-04T20:16:11.749+00:002010-01-04T20:16:11.749+00:00How do you reconcicle a belief in reincarnation wi...How do you reconcicle a belief in reincarnation with an exponentially growing population?

Thanks, love your blog.Jeffnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804748110841330925.post-10606579194547899802009-12-11T19:06:48.216+00:002009-12-11T19:06:48.216+00:00I'm not aware of any brick and mortar shops th...I'm not aware of any brick and mortar shops there that might sell it, but you should be able to order it online.

-DFrater Yechidahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08630272924336872824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804748110841330925.post-87095766357925787722009-12-11T06:54:43.790+00:002009-12-11T06:54:43.790+00:00G'day,

These aren't merely coincidental parallels because I or anyone else wants there to be a connection - there is historical documentation showing that, for example, Lurianic Qabalah based many of its teachings on Gnosticism. Some call it dualistic, while others, myself included, call it panentheistic (God being present in the world, but also much more than it). This applies likewise with the Qabalah.

Firstly, not all Gnostics saw YHVH as the Demiurge, and even if they did, not all Gnostics saw the Demiurge was "evil". The Demiurge is a part of the Father, a part of God, in much the same way Christ is. Gnostic teaching involves emanation, so new projections of God exist, but they are projections or emanations of His being, his Light and majesty. If they are all of him, then ultimately it cannot be anything other than monotheism. The Gnostic worships the whole of God, as it were, as opposed to just a single part, which the Demiurge would be.

LVX,
Dean.Frater Yechidahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08630272924336872824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804748110841330925.post-25053139537309024962008-09-09T11:33:00.000+01:002008-09-09T11:33:00.000+01:00Would you say that Gnosticism and Qabalah also har...Would you say that Gnosticism and Qabalah also hark back to something older, polytheism? I never actually thought of viewing Gnostic cosmology in that way although as you note in your post it should seem somewhat obvious seeing as both the Sun and Moon play observable, concrete roles in our lives. It seems feasible that we should or can be affected by the other heavenly bodies in our solar system as well. I also find the different interpretation of the typical gnostic view of humanity's bondage interesting and more in line with what has developed in modern occultism today. Seeing as modern (and perhaps ancient) occultism, magic(k)., etc. seeks to instruct its disciples toward Adeptship the later view makes more sense as a true adept is hardly, if at all, a victim of circumstance.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
